The Japanese teas served at the café have many different characteristics and flavors depending on varieties and production techniques. Simply enjoy the tastiness of the authentic Japanese teas, while you may also try original menu items such as hojicha/black syrup latte and yuzu-scented green tea with tonic. Many different meals and desserts are abundantly available and taste very good with tea.
Without being tied to the categorization of Kyoyasai vegetables, the buffet-style restaurant offers seasonal vegetables at reasonable prices harvested that morning, grown by local farmers. Enjoy all-you-can-eat items such as large cuts of fresh vegetable which maximize the original taste, original obanzai items, soups, steamed vegetables and noodles. Higashiyama and the water of the Kamo River. Celebrate the cherry blossoms along the Takase River in the spring. Feel the river breeze from a noryoyuka (deck) in the summer. During each of the four seasons, the restaurant offers authentic Italian food featuring rich seasonal ingredients.
In a space that preserves the traces of the residence of Takeuchi Seiho, pioneer of modern Japanese painting, the restaurant offers Italian food combined with local Kyoto ingredients and seasonal flavors. The menu mainly consists of prix fixe dishes with periodically changing ingredients. Vegetarian options are also available. A view of the courtyard spreads beneath the window of the atmospheric restaurant and transforms with each season. The restaurant can also accommodate a group of up to 30 persons. The private rooms on the second floor command a view of the peaks of Mt. Higashiyama and the Tower of Yasaka.
