Enjoy all-you-can-eat items such as large cuts of fresh vegetable which maximize the original taste, original obanzai items, soups, steamed vegetables and noodles. The restaurant is located in a house along the Kamo River. A counter surrounds the open kitchen on the first floor. The tables on the second floor command a panoramic view of the peaks of Mt. Higashiyama and the water of the Kamo River. Celebrate the cherry blossoms along the Takase River in the spring. Feel the river breeze from a noryoyuka (deck) in the summer. During each of the four seasons, the restaurant offers authentic Italian food featuring rich seasonal ingredients.
In a space that preserves the traces of the residence of Takeuchi Seiho, pioneer of modern Japanese painting, the restaurant offers Italian food combined with local Kyoto ingredients and seasonal flavors. The menu mainly consists of prix fixe dishes with periodically changing ingredients. Vegetarian options are also available. A view of the courtyard spreads beneath the window of the atmospheric restaurant and transforms with each season. The restaurant can also accommodate a group of up to 30 persons. The private rooms on the second floor command a view of the peaks of Mt. Higashiyama and the Tower of Yasaka.
Exuding the typical atmosphere of Kyoto, the Japanese style café operates in a renovated machiya building that is almost 80 years old. Teori-zushi is a popular menu item among tourists as well as local people. It is colorfully topped with more than 40 ingredients, such as local vegetables, slices of seasonal raw fish and deli food. Use your hands to roll up your favorite ingredients. This style of eating cannot be found elsewhere. Discover a new combination of flavors.
