The owner trained at a Michelin three-star restaurant in Tokyo before starting his current restaurant.
If we are talking about Japanese cuisine, some foreigners will think of it as very formal, but here, it is quite different. The chef is very friendly, and his wife is a former Gion Maiko performer, so she can speak English really well.
One more thing is that they are child-friendly. Since they also have a child, they think of how parents have a hard time finding a restaurant during travel.
