Within the National Museum, the galleries are divided into the Honkan (Japanese Gallery), Toyokan (Asian Gallery), Heiseikan, Gallery of Horyuji Treasures, Kuroda Memorial Hall, and Hyokeikan. There is much to see in each gallery. This is a perfect place for those interested in Japanese architecture, history, and treasures. It is also recommended for children of elementary and junior high school age as they can see many treasures. The Asian Gallery is especially recommended for children. There is also a place to experience again fortune-telling and stamping, which is fun. The staff at the Asian Gallery also spoke English to guide visitors from overseas.
