Known as "fast mochi" in Japan. You can see traditional mochi making as part of Japanese culture. They make the mochi right in front of you and serve it fresh. It's a bit crowded because it's so popular with overseas customers, but you can watch the next time, so it's okay. They don't tell you the time beforehand, but if you go directly, they'll tell you the time. They start making the next mochi as soon as they finish selling the mochi they made.
