To help our guests fully enjoy Osaka, our staff will introduce recommended sightseeing spots and travel plans in four categories: "Entertainment," "Food," "Shopping," and "Cultural and Historical Experiences."
It takes about 1 hour by direct flight from Kansai Airport to any of the five MIMARU properties in Osaka.

"Entertainment": Take amazing family photos among Osaka's unique sites and experiences.
● Dotonbori: Osaka's most popular tourist spot, full of life and excitement. The Dotonbori Bridge stretching over the river and the iconic billboards in the background make for an excellent photo spot. Try the various food stalls and peruse the shops among the beautifully lit-up scenery at night.
● Abeno Harukas: Abeno Harukas is a skyscraper complex offering not only an observatory with 360-degree panoramic view of the city at a height of about 300 meters above the ground but also shopping, dining, and art.
● Theme parks: Osaka's famous large theme parks embody the world of movies and anime. Kaiyukan, one of the world's largest aquariums, offers a spectacular view into the marine world.

"Food": Embark on a delicious journey through Osaka, the gourmet city, and enjoy these three tasty flour-based foods with your family.
● Okonomiyaki: Okonomiyaki is the soul food of Osaka. Cabbage, eggs, and flour are mixed together, and meat or seafood is added on top. They are then cooked in a circle on a griddle. Some restaurants allow customers to grill and eat their own okonomiyaki, which makes for lively family conversation around the griddle.
● Takoyaki: Takoyaki, a food stall dish that originated in Osaka, is a ball-shaped snack perfect to eat on the go. Dotonbori is lined with many popular takoyaki restaurants, or you can heat up frozen ones from convenience stores and supermarkets and enjoy them leisurely in your room.
● Udon: “Kitsune Udon” is deliciously fluffy fried tofu. It is said that its name, “kitsune” (meaning "fox" in Japanese), comes from the fact that deep-fried tofu is a favorite food of foxes. The sticky udon noodles are popular with children as well.

"Shopping": Go for souvenirs at the various convenience and drug stores near your hotel.
● Packaged snacks: Japanese snacks, chocolates, and candies come in cute packages and are popular as souvenirs. Some snacks, such as takoyaki (octopus dumplings)-flavored snacks, are available only in select local stores, making it exciting to find them.
● Matcha sweets: Beautifully arranged matcha shaved ice and parfaits are a great way to experience Japanese culture the gourmet way and are popular among children as well. Matcha powder and matcha-flavored sweets serve as perfect souvenirs.
● Skin care items: Japanese lip balm, hand cream, and lotion are popular among visitors from overseas. Drugstores carry a lot of variety, and some packages are decorated with popular characters.

"Cultural and Historical Experiences": Enjoy the many castles of the Kansai region, stretching from Osaka to Hyogo.
● Osaka Castle: Built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi as a base of operations for unifying the country. The castle tower, the third one built during the Toyotomi and Tokugawa eras, was reconstructed using donations from citizens and offers a panoramic view of Osaka. Visitors can also take a boat around the inner castle moat and dine nearby while enjoying the view of Osaka Castle.
● Himeji Castle: This graceful white castle, which resembles an egret spreading its wings, was registered as a World Heritage Site in 1993. Visitors can immerse themselves in Japan's history and culture while strolling through historical exhibits and gardens. It takes about 30 minutes from Shin-Osaka to Himeji by Shinkansen bullet train.
● Takeda Castle Ruins: Hike around the ruins of Takeda Castle, located at the top of the 353.7-meter-high Mount Kojo, also known as the “Castle in the Sky." It takes about 2 hours from Osaka to reach this spot.
