Children Visiting Japan and Local Children Come Together at ANO-NE Kids Club in Ginza for a Special Children’s Day International Exchange Event

On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, a national holiday in Japan, celebrating Children’s Day, ANO-NE Kids Club, an indoor play space for children, will host a special free event where children visiting Japan can meet and interact with children living in Japan.
This hands-on program is designed to create natural connections beyond language differences through play and shared experiences. It offers children visiting Japan and local children the opportunity to connect with one another through fun activities.
In a safe and welcoming environment, ANO-NE Kids Club offers a unique experience where children can become fully immersed in play, while adults enjoy their own free time.

A Special Children’s Day Event Bringing Together Children from Japan and Around the World
ANO-NE Kids Club is a space where children from around the world can come together.
At this special event, children will enjoy activities such as bilingual kamishibai storytelling in Japanese and English, as well as Japanese cultural craft experiences that are also perfect as Mother’s Day gifts.
The program is designed so that children can learn through play and naturally connect with one another.
While children spend time safely and happily at ANO-NE Kids Club, parents can enjoy their own free time to go shop, dine, or relax in the city.

ANO-NE Kids Club Offers a New Style of Family Time
ANO-NE Kids Club opened in Ginza, Tokyo, in April 2025 in response to the needs of guests staying at APARTMENT HOTEL MIMARU, including parents who wanted to enjoy their own travel experience and families looking for a place where their children could move, play, and have fun.
Our vision was to create a place where inbound travelers could fully enjoy adult-oriented sightseeing, and where parents living in Japan could feel at ease leaving their children while taking time for themselves.
We also recognized the simple and honest wish of children: rather than spending the day accompanying adults on shopping trips, they want to play, have fun, and make friends.
ANO-NE Kids Club was developed as a service that brings these needs together, creating an experience where both children and parents can feel satisfied.
Our experienced staff carefully watch over the children, providing a safe and welcoming environment where parents can leave their children with peace of mind.
After reuniting, children and parents can share their own special moments from the day — “Let me tell you what happened!” — creating meaningful memories for the whole family.

■ Usage Trends: Supporting Not Only Visitors to Japan, but Also Everyday Childcare Needs
From January to March 2026, 51% of ANO-NE Kids Club users were visitors to Japan, while 49% were residents of Japan. International visitors have mainly come from countries such as the United States, Singapore, and Australia, and to date, families from more than 30 countries and regions have visited the facility.
Many parents use the service as a way to refresh and enjoy time for themselves, such as shopping or dining. Among residents of Japan, the facility is also used for practical everyday needs, including work.
In addition, 25% of visitors to Japan have used the service more than once. Many parents have shared comments such as, “My child said they wanted to go again.”
ANO-NE Kids Club is becoming a new option for families spending time in the city — not only as a place that parents appreciate, but also as a facility that children themselves look forward to visiting.
