What We Loved

The people we met in himeji were very friendly. We met some nice tourists who spoke to us of their travels. We had school children wave to us and say hello which gives us the lasting impression of what a great culture Japan has. So friendly and respectful.

What Could Be Better

At himeji castle it was hard for my mum to get up the stairs, but that’s expected when you have to go up 6-7 flights to reach the top. Great castle and stunning views.

Things good to know in advance

Regarding himeji, we got to the castle about 10:30am. Any later there would’ve been massive lines so before 10:30 would be ideal.
