Gyukatsu Ichi Ni San
This is a popular beef cutlet restaurant in Akihabara, where you can have a rare-fried beef cutlet grilled to your liking on a stone plate and served piping hot.
I went on a hot day in the middle of summer, so lining up outside was tiring, but the staff took my order in English while I was waiting. I waited around 25 minutes on the staircase before entering. There were 6 counter seats and two tables at the back of the restaurant. I ordered the 1.5-cut teishoku, which came out as soon as I sat down. There were English menus and English instructions, and the staff asked everyone if they knew how to eat it (again in English) and explained it in a friendly manner. The beef, sauce, cabbage, and miso soup were really delicious, and I loved the store atmosphere. There were no Japanese patrons, and almost everyone there and queueing were foreign families. I would love to go a second time, even if it is quite expensive.
