Tried the ‘No-Sew Pouch Made with Japanese Fabric & Paper’ Workshop

The store is a 10-minute walk from Inaricho Station. I chose the ""Using Japanese-made Cloth to Make an Accessory Case Without Sewing"" course this time. Customers can choose from making a small coin case, pen case, and more, and each option comes with a tiny coin case keychain.
First, the owner brought out a basket of cloth and asked me to pick two patterns—one for the pen case and one for the keychain. After selecting the cloth, she instructed me to use a paperboard to trace the shape and cut it out. Then, I placed a thin paper cushion board on the cloth, wrapped it, and inserted it into the metal frame. And that’s it—pretty simple and easy to understand! When I had trouble fitting the cloth into the frame, the teacher was very patient and frequently checked my progress.
I would recommend this course for families with children aged 6 and older, as well as solo travelers or pairs.
