At Arashiyama Monkey Park Iwatayama in Kyoto, wild Japanese macaques live freely and can be observed without barriers. From the top, you can enjoy panoramic views of Kyoto city and the stunning scenery of Arashiyama.
I visited the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest expecting only to see the famous bamboo grove, but I was pleasantly surprised by the charm of the entire area. The town itself is full of delightful stores, many featuring handmade products crafted by locals, and delicious food stands with unique flavours. The trek to Monkey Park was unforgettable, winding through lush, green forests that were simply breathtaking. An incredible experience all around!
