Hyde&Away Kyoto Higashiyama
Hyde & Away is a tart specialty store located in Kyoto Kitano, Kyoto Higashiyama, and Nagoya. Their meticulously crafted tarts not only look beautiful but are also packaged in original boxes, making them popular as gifts.
The restaurant is covered by an old-school European vibe with traditional jazz music in the background. The atmosphere is warm and gentle, with a brown wood color and orange LED light. When you arrive at the cashier, you will be surprised by the variety of colorful tarts and the staff's hospitality. The staff is fluent in English and there is also an English menu for foreign customers. However, they only accept non-cash payment methods.
After the dishes came, the tarts had unique designs and deep cream flavors, which were set up on a fancy plate. Furthermore, the most amazing experience was on the coffee. It was made with the restaurant's own ingredients, and the taste was wonderful. You can taste the cocoa dust at the tip of the cup with a creamy foam on the top, along with the latte, which creates a special harmony of flavor. It is not too sweet, but you can sense the light bitter of coffee at the end.
Enjoy nature along the nearby Kamo River, with easy access to Kiyomizu-dera and Gion. On-site facilities include a gym and first-floor kids' play area.
