Encounter a Geisha Encounter During the Premium Tea House Experience
This is a walking group tour in Gion where you can have a closer look into the geisha's world and even interact with them in person. The tour starts from 2 PM and finishes around 5 PM. In the first part, guests are guided through Gion Shirakawa, Hanamikoji, Kenninji, and finally stop at Miyagawacho. In the second part, guests are taken to a teahouse in Miyagawasuji and then enjoy the conversation with people in Geisha's world (from the Mother to the Geiko/Maiko). The tour sums up with the photo session when each guest can take pictures with the Geiko/Maiko and even have a chance to talk to them directly. This is a precious experience for those who want to interact with Maiko/Geiko at an affordable price. Children under 10 cannot join this tour. There are also different walking tours provided where small children can join. All tours are provided in English.
