Kacto is a cafe restaurant along the Kamogawa River, set in a stylish space renovated from a traditional Kyoto townhouse. At dinner, an extensive à la carte menu that skillfully highlights Kyoto-produced and Japanese ingredients offers a distinctly different charm from the daytime fare.

The staff was energetic and courteous, even though it was still early, around 8:00 in the morning.
Many of the customers in the restaurant are foreigners, and the staff seemed to be accustomed to communicating in English.
There was a German couple sitting next to me, and they said ""Ohayo gozaimasu"" to me as soon as we were seated.
After that, they were chatting with other Japanese customers about their trip, and it was a very relaxing scene.
The restaurant faces the Kamo River, so you can enjoy an amazing view while relaxing."
