Create Your Own Exquisite Turkish Lamp!
Nestled in the charming Yanaka Ginza area of Nippori, this Turkish lamp shop captures the essence of Tokyo’s traditional shitamachi atmosphere. It's the perfect spot for visitors looking to create a unique and relaxing experience during their stay in Japan.
In this workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to craft your own lamp from scratch. The experience begins with a brief introduction, after which you’ll select the size and design of your lamp. Next, you’ll choose a base pearl and select mosaic pieces that resonate with your personal style.
Once you have your materials, it’s time to unleash your creativity! You’ll meticulously arrange and stick the mosaic pieces onto the lamp, filling any gaps with pearls for that perfect finish. Once you’re done, the shop staff will secure everything with white chalk, ensuring your masterpiece is durable and beautiful.
Your custom lamp will be ready for pick-up in 2 to 3 weeks, or you can choose to have it sent to your address within Japan (unfortunately, international shipping isn't available, so probably only long-stay guests will be able to enjoy this experience). This hands-on experience is a wonderful way to immerse yourself in the local culture while creating a lasting keepsake from your time in Japan!
