This Japanese eel restaurant is located in Sanjo Shopping Arcade, within walking distance of the hotel. The owner, who trained as an eel chef in Kyoto for 15 years, serves freshly prepared live eels, mainly from Mikawa Isshiki, and is particular about using safe and reliable ingredients, including Omi Enko rice from Shiga Prefecture (with reduced pesticides and no chemical fertilizers). There is a nursing room available inside the restaurant, and the entrance is wide and barrier-free, so strollers and wheelchairs can enter the restaurant, making it a very welcoming place for babies.
