Kabuki-za
This is Japan’s only dedicated Kabuki theater, opened in 1889. Although it has been renovated several times, performances have continued on this stage over the years.

The Japanese palace-like exterior gives off a Japanese vibe. There is an English subtitle guide service (paid)that English subtitles will display on rental tablets as the show progresses, so foreigners can enjoy the show, too. In addition, bento boxes and light meals are sold inside the Kabukiza, so you can enjoy Japanese cuisine during breaks or before the show starts. Even if you don't make a reservation, tickets are sold on the day, so you can come and see the show anytime. The souvenir shop next door has a wide selection of Japanese souvenirs that foreigners will love, such as Japanese paper fans and chopstick rests.
Conveniently located one train ride away from Ginza, Tsukiji and Ueno without any transfers. Within walking distance of Nihonbashi, a center of Japanese culture, and Ningyocho, a traditional downtown area.
Only a 4-minute walk to Tokyo City Air Terminal (T-CAT) which features direct buses to major airports. Head to Tokyo Skytree® or Shibuya straight from Suitengumae Station.
