This restaurant, with a history of over 260 years and reputed to be the birthplace of oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl), is always busy with long lines.
Established in 1760, this chicken cuisine restaurant is a long-standing establishment and is said to be the birthplace of Oyakodon. The staff is very friendly, and the restaurant has counter-seats, allowing for takeout as well. The Oyakodon here has a larger portion than the other, featuring fluffy eggs, tender chicken. It's also recommended to try it with their homemade shichimi (seven-spice blend). The location is easy to find as it is just outside of Ningyocho Station.
Conveniently located one train ride away from Ginza, Tsukiji and Ueno without any transfers. Within walking distance of Nihonbashi, a center of Japanese culture, and Ningyocho, a traditional downtown area.
Only a 4-minute walk to Tokyo City Air Terminal (T-CAT) which features direct buses to major airports. Head to Tokyo Skytree® or Shibuya straight from Suitengumae Station.
