Enjoy Japanese Cuisine in a Mall, Especially Recommend on Rainy Days
It is located on the 8th floor restaurant area of Kyoto Daimaru. You can get to Daimaru without getting wet on a rainy day by taking the underground passage from Subway Shijo Station. The restaurant is spacious, and during lunch time on weekdays, I was able to enter without a reservation. The menu is available in English, Chinese, and Korean, which I thought was very tourist-friendly!
Enjoy nature along the nearby Kamo River, with easy access to Kiyomizu-dera and Gion. On-site facilities include a gym and first-floor kids' play area.
