Explore a Museum Dedicated to the History and Craftsmanship of Japanese Swords

This museum is located at Sumida City, where you can learn about the history and manufacturing method of Japanese swords, and enjoy viewing swords, sword fittings and sword accessories at the same time.
It was formerly located at Shibuya and was relocated to Ryogoku in 2018. There are 3 floors in total: the first floor has a reception area, a diagram of the Japanese sword-making process (with introductions in English as well), an exhibition of some Japanese swords, a café space and a souvenir shop; the second floor is the office area; the third floor has the main exhibition room, including many national treasures and important cultural assets. The Yasuda Garden is also right next door, and you can see the view from the roof garden. Overall, the museum is a place where anyone can enjoy learning about Japanese culture, regardless of age or nationality.
