～Introducing Japanese flower viewing information for plum, peach, and cherry blossoms through an official MIMARU Instagram campaign～

Cosmos Hotel Management Co., Ltd., which operates Apartment Hotel MIMARU where you can stay with all your family and friends in spacious rooms equipped with a kitchen, welcomes guests from around the world, with 90% of guests being from abroad. We have received numerous reservations from families and friend groups from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and many other countries for the upcoming spring season starting Saturday, February 10th, 2024.

To help our overseas guests fully enjoy Japan’s spring season, we will be holding the “Enjoy Hanami in Japan! Campaign” from January 16th to April 15th, 2024. We will share hanami (flower viewing) photos of not only the classic cherry blossoms, but also plum and peach blossoms on our Instagram page.

In early February, spring begins in Japan with risshun, the first day of spring. Beautiful plum blossoms start to bloom across various regions. Following the plum blossoms, peach and cherry blossoms gradually bloom as they move northward across the Japanese archipelago. The tradition of hanami , where people stroll amidst fully bloomed flowers, enjoy meals and drinks with family and friends, and feel the transience of the falling cherry blossoms, is an ancient cultural practice in Japan with its distinct four seasons.

On the official MIMARU Instagram, we are hosting a campaign to celebrate this beautiful hanami tradition, introducing guests to stories and experiences related to plum, peach, and cherry blossoms.

MIMARU is now accepting submissions from everyone’s hanami experiences on our official Instagram. Follow our official Instagram account and post your photos of plum, peach, and cherry blossoms taken at famous locations, or at your own favorite hidden spots. Use the hashtags #mimaruhanami #Hanami #Japan along with the location where the photo was taken, for a total of four hashtags. By sharing hanami information discovered from the perspective of our guests from around the world in a timely manner, we aim to allow our guests to experience Japan's four seasons and flower viewing at the best time possible. We will select three individuals who have posted wonderful photos and send them special gifts from MIMARU.

Campaign Period: January 16th, 2024 to April 15th, 2024
Criteria: You are enjoying Japan and the springtime flowers!
Prize: A set of Japanese sweets and Japanese tea for the best in each category (plum, peach, and cherry blossoms)

Additionally, we will be posting information from MIMARU, such as “How to Distinguish Between Plum, Peach, and Cherry Blossoms”, “The History of Hanami Began with Plums in the Nara Period!” and “Hinamatsuri (the Doll’s Festival) is the Peach Festival, Adorned with Peach Blossoms Which Were Believed to Have the Power of Eternal Youth and Longevity!”

We aim to share these cultural insights with our guests from abroad.
