AN KYOTO Japanese Culture Experience
Anyone can easily experience Japanese culture at this facility. There are many activities available, such as making nerikiri wagashi (traditional sweets), participating in tea ceremony, and taking photos with maiko.
The classroom was very big, and there were tables. A Spanish family of seven attended the class besides me.
The instructor taught us in English and Japanese. The instructor was Japanese, and his English was at the level of daily conversation, but you could understand. If you are able to pay an extra charge, they can arrange a good English-speaking instructor.

If they have available seats, guests can join a tea ceremony on the same day. They also have viewing Maiko dance experiece or making Japanese sweets experience. Guests can join as a group, and it's relatively easy to make a reservation. The staff speaks Japanese and English. Participants sit on the chairs at the long desk. Their legs don't get numbed.
