Make Traditional Japanese Sweets Inspired by the Seasons
Kansyudo has two branches: the head office, near Shichijo station, and a boutique in Kyoto Tower.
The yogas-making process is very interesting, as its motifs are poetically inspired by the seasons. The lesson begins with a pictorial presentation of the work to be done. There will be four confections: two identical sweets to get the hang of and two others using different methods. One of the duplicate desserts will be enjoyed at the end of the session, accompanied by a delicious matcha (the best I've ever had!). The others can be taken home as souvenirs.
The teacher is an experienced craftsman who will guide you step by step in the creation of these gustatory jewels. He also gives succinct but sufficient explanations in English.
